48,811 families remain displaced as a result of the armed conflict between the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and IS-inspired groups in Marawi City. Of this total, 3,102 families (approximately 15,401 individuals) are staying in 67 evacuation centres located in different areas of Lanao del Sur, while 57,790 families (approximately 297,213 individuals) are home-based. These figures are based from data released by the Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM).
The TFBM has facilitated the Kambalingan, the Maranao term for homecoming, of around 26,358 families (approximately 131,790 individuals) returning to 36 cleared barangays in Marawi City.
Each family returnee received family food packs (FFPs) good for 17 days, hygiene kits and kitchen kits, and financial assistance worth PhP 5,000 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
